First coaching visit to identify driving forces of the Bratislava cultural and creative ecosystem

The Culture for Cities and Regions coaching scheme kicked off in Bratislava, Slovakia in October 2016.

The priority of this coaching visit were to:

  • - Identify and generate the essential cultural policy goals (in a co-working process with stakeholders)

  •
  • - Consider how the creative hub and culture heritage contribute to this policy goal. With a view to frame justifications for investment in these projects and get political / citizens support. Ensure that CCI goals are integral part of the policy context (Smart Twin Project notably)

  •
  • - Help the city identify stakeholders to engage with the local creative community and build trust as well as set conditions for transdisciplinary actions (technology, universities, manufacturing etc). Propose governance mechanism to ensure participation and improve linkage between national, regional and city goals as well as resources (taking into account smart specialization goals).

  •
  • - Consider ways to collect data and frame indicators with a view to inform policy making and generate interests in the potential of culture investments.
